My last journal was nearly a whole year ago! WOW. It doesn't feel like it was that long ago. Hmm, what's happened since then that I can tell you about?
Well I already mentioned that I started my Dental Nursing course with work. It's one you do online, so I'm having to do that in addition to working full time. It's keeping me really busy, and aside from seeing my friend Esca on a Thursday evening I'm too tired to do much else.
I've started re-writing Soul Echo. After many attempts at editing, I've decided to go a new way with it. I've even gone so far as to change the main character's name. Aaron Maysh wasn't really doing it for me, so say hello to Andrew Marsh instead! The first couple of pages have been well received by the (only) person that's read it so far.
Last weekend I went to cornwall with my boyfriend for the May bank holiday weekend. As those of you who also know me on facebook will already know, I am pleased to announce that he is no longer my boyfriend and has been upgraded to Fiance. +1 man point for a lovely ring and proposal
I started out the year trying to write a prompt a week, but with my workload getting steadily heavier, I haven't been doing it for at least the last 6 weeks. It sucks. I need to find more time to commit to writing. I have Monday's off work, but that's usually reserved for housework and/or college work. I DID however have an amazing write in weekend this weekend with my friends Esca and Mazzy. It was a long time coming! We need to do it more often! Like monthly.... or bimonthly minimum!
Deviations might be sorely lacking from me in the next few months. I'm pretty sure that I owe people writing from kiribans that are now about 18 months old?? Feel free to tell me that I suck many asses, but be happy in the knowledge that it is somewhere in the back of my mind.
Next Tuesday is my birthday. I'm going to be the big two-five! Twenty-five and engaged..... suddenly I feel like a grown up, and I gotta tell you. It's a little scary.
